I design and ship
trustless financial systems

I'm Paul Arbic, a blockchain & solutions architect, full-stack engineer, consultant, and quantitative market analyst with an M.S. in Operations Research. I build systems that are secure by design, both operationally and technically, with game-theoretic incentives that keep every participant honest, from whiteboard math to audited, production-ready code.

01 / Services

Four disciplines, one accountable partner

Most teams hire an architect, a developer, a consultant, and an analyst separately, then spend months keeping them aligned. I do all four, so the design, the code, and the economics stay consistent with each other.

Blockchain & Solutions Architecture

Protocol designs that hold up under adversarial conditions, from contract topology and upgrade paths to oracle strategy and cross-chain messaging.

  • DeFi protocol design: CDPs, stablecoins, lending & credit
  • Omni-chain & multi-chain system architecture
  • Trust-minimized identity, KYC & ZK-proof integrations
  • Threat modeling, invariants & security reviews
  • Operational security: multisig, key management & access control

Full-Stack & Smart Contract Development

Production code end to end: defensively written Solidity with unit, fuzz, and invariant test suites, indexers and APIs, and fast, polished front-ends that wallets and users trust.

  • Solidity / EVM smart contracts (ERC-20, ERC-721, custom)
  • dApp front-ends in React, Next.js, Angular & vanilla JS
  • Node.js / Python back-ends, indexers & REST APIs
  • Automation with Chainlink Keepers, bots & scripts
  • Marketing & corporate websites, including multilingual sites

Technical Consulting & Leadership

Senior guidance when you need it: fractional CTO work, team direction, architecture reviews, and roadmaps that connect engineering effort to business outcomes.

  • Fractional CTO / technical co-founder engagements
  • Directing cross-functional development teams
  • Security due diligence & code / architecture audits
  • Build-vs-buy, chain selection & vendor strategy
  • AI-assisted engineering workflows for faster delivery

Market, Protocol & Quantitative Analysis

Analysis backed by a graduate degree in optimization and statistics. I model token economies, test protocol health under stress, and build systematic strategies.

  • Game-theoretic tokenomics & incentive-mechanism design
  • On-chain data analysis & protocol health reports
  • Algorithmic / quantitative trading strategies & bots
  • Stress testing, simulation & risk modeling
  • Research reports for funds, DAOs & founders

02 / Security & Incentives

Secure by design. Honest by incentive.

Every system I've worked on moves real money, so I treat security as a design constraint from day one rather than a phase at the end. I look at it from three angles: how the team operates, how the code behaves, and how rational participants will act once there's money on the line.

01

Operational Security

Most large exploits start with a compromised key, a rushed deployment, or a phished team member, not a clever bug. I secure the people and processes around the code.

  • Multisig, hardware-wallet & key-management strategy
  • Least-privilege roles, timelocks & admin minimization
  • Hardened deployment pipelines & secrets handling
  • Monitoring, alerting, pause/guardian mechanisms & incident playbooks
  • Team hygiene: phishing resistance, device & account hardening
02

Technical Security

Contracts and infrastructure built to hold up against attackers. I define threats and invariants first, write defensive code, then try to break it before anyone else does.

  • Threat modeling & protocol invariants before implementation
  • Defenses against reentrancy, oracle manipulation, flash-loan & MEV attacks
  • Unit, fuzz & invariant testing with Foundry
  • Access-control & upgrade-safety reviews
  • Audit preparation, auditor coordination & remediation
03

Game-Theoretic Incentives

Code can be correct and the protocol can still fail if the incentives are wrong. I design mechanisms where the honest strategy is also the most profitable one.

  • Mechanism design & equilibrium analysis
  • Liquidation, keeper & stability-pool incentive modeling
  • Sybil- and farm-resistant emissions, staking & referral systems
  • Attacker cost-vs-profit & economic-exploit simulation
  • Governance design resistant to bribery & vote capture
  • Assume adversariesEvery input, oracle, and counterparty may be hostile.
  • Minimize trustFewer keys, fewer admins, smaller blast radius.
  • Align incentivesMake honest behavior the dominant strategy.
  • Verify, then shipInvariants, tests, and review before mainnet.

03 / Market Analysis

Quantitative analysis, with the math shown

My training is in operations research: optimization, stochastic models, numerical analysis, and machine learning. I use it to answer the questions founders and funds care about before money is committed.

Game-theoretic tokenomics

Supply schedules, emissions, staking and referral mechanics modeled as strategic games, built for long-term sustainability rather than a short-lived TVL spike.

Protocol health & risk

Collateral ratios, liquidation cascades, peg stability, and liquidity depth, monitored from on-chain data and stress-tested in simulation.

Systematic trading

Arbitrage, market-monitoring, and execution bots that pair on-chain contracts with real-time Python analytics across DEXs.

Research for decision makers

Clear written reports for funds, DAOs, and founders that cover methodology, assumptions, findings, and recommended next steps.

A selection of systems I've led, architected, or built, from DeFi credit primitives to peer-reviewed research.

Product & Architecture Lead

Fuero.xyz: undercollateralized DeFi credit

Led product architecture and smart contract development for a DeFi primitive that offers uncollateralized and undercollateralized credit lines to prime borrowers. It uses real-world credit profiles, KYC verification, and privacy-preserving zero-knowledge proofs. I also designed user-owned on-chain identity profiles and seamless crypto payouts.
